I have been seeing Dr. Levine for over 5 years for issues related to anxiety, relationships, and trauma. Dr. Levine is equally as empathetic and supportive as he is knowledgeable, which makes for the best combination in a therapist. Dr. Levine has given me incomparable guidance and has helped me develop a much better understanding of who I am so that now, for the first time in over 30 years, I am able to approach life and it's obstacles with both the confidence and tools necessary to effectively cope and succeed. Dr. Levine helps me to overcome anger and resentment (most importantly toward myself) and empowers me with constant encouragement and the techniques required to face my fears and create positive change. There is truly nothing negative I can say about him, and I highly recommend Dr. Levine to anyone who is seeking therapy!

Dr. Levine has helped my family through many hardships, and me personally when I had breast cancer. He was always there for us, day and night, through email, text, and phone. I wish there were more doctors like him, and I would definitely recommend his services.

Please note, I am using this review in other reviewing systems as well so I can spread the word about Dr. Levine.

Google him. Horrible reputation in NJ. Has been reported to the AMA more than once and has allegedly been disciplined. He's a Preditor, a thief and unethical on several fronts. More than one open and/or closed lawsuits/settlements. Married one of his patients then divorced. Had two offices in NJ. One in Linwood ,NJ. Starts out like a nice caring doctor and is good but beware. Especially ladies. Billing practices are irregular and suspect. That's why he doesn't take Medicare any longer. He admitted in writing to being paid for sessions that never took place and owing me money but refused to return it. Dragged out process with submitting claims to Medicare which cost me over 20k not including legal fees and money owed from over payments from pre paid appointments that never took place. He was always running between Arizona and NJ. Would promise to submit claims to Medicare, never did, told me to write my own bills and self submit under his letter head, even gave me his id information to do so, which would have been fraudulent. Dragged out this until it was too late to go to small claims court. I saw him for several years and trusted him very much because he was helping me which is the saddest part. He caused me great emotional distress.
Changes his practice name often. Reported to AMA. Harassed me via phone prior to and after legal action about money...when settlement agreement would be agreed too he would change lawyers instead of honoring agreement. Did this 4 times. Cost me another 3k in legal fees. Does not submit bills to insurance as promised. Has a history of inappropriate behavior with female patients. Alleged out of court settlement with one female and a sanction from another . Married a patient then got divorced. Was going to Arizona often used this as an excuse to be unavailable. Woman beware! Many mental health care professionals in the NJ area are aware of his behavior. He is a negative topic of conversation among NAMI members from other patients and their family members.
Has a shady past. Has no staff. Arrogant and egotistical. Has no ethics.
I'm not the first and probably won't be the last. What is sad is that he does have good skills and did help me. But his lack of ethics and inappropriate behavior set me back.
Buyer BEWARE! Check out other rating websites. Below is a except from another site a different patient who saw him after me. I tried for years to get my money and bills so I could self submit the right way. He never complied as promised, even called after I had legal representation and said he would give me MY money he admitted to owing for sessions that never took place, if I would sign a waiver first, THEN he would forward me the bills, knowing Medicare wouldn't pay because too much time had passed. I have all the documentation of what transpired concerning me. So I can prove everything I stated concerning me. Below is an excerpt from a patient he saw after I stopped going I found on a website. He also changes rating sites because of reviews like this. He believes he can out run his past by moving, changing his practice name and changing rating sites. 

EXCERPT from another patient:
Was refer to him by attorney, didn't trust him. Decided to go with another doctor. Questions that were asked were not the right questions to asked. Also ask to speak to a family member of mind. For what!
