Whenever I go, I usually have to remind them why I'm there and what my situation is. The office was easy enough to find. There were many awkward pauses, and I didn't feel like I was getting thy feedback that I was looking for. She often appeared as if she was fighting to try to stay awake during our appointments. I felt like I was there to just help her get a paycheck, and that she had no vested interest in my needs. It was my first experience with a therapist, so I probably went to her longer than I should have. I definitely should have listened to my first instinct and moved on to another therapist !

Their office was well organized and clean. I could tell they took a lot of time making sure it was presentable. I appreciated that they took the time to listen to my input and concerns. I feel like we're working together instead of them just telling me what to do. When I told them about my situation, they were somewhat understanding, but they could have been more caring. They didn't try very hard to understand where I was coming from. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all. There was lots of available parking at their office. I was glad that I didn't have to drive around looking for parking.

I went to see Velma Wagner many years ago for three to four visits and my experience still bothers me. After coming to this site, I see that I was not alone. First, I got very little feedback and actually thought Velma was falling asleep (more than once) during our sessions. It seemed so incredible I thought I must be imagining it, now I see someone had a similar experience. Second, it finally clicked that I was feeling just horrible after every session, each time. Again, I thought it was just me. Finally, there were also billing issues that I won't go into but convinced me this therapist is very unethical. I guess my point is, trust your gut when it comes to therapists. I felt something wasn't quite right but kept going back because I thought there was something wrong with me. I'm sure that had a lot to do with how I was feeling at the time. I am sorry for everyone who had a bad experience but also relieved to find people speaking out about Velma's practice.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping . The office was easy enough to find. I would never visit them again. The therapist barely spoke and yawned constantly during the session. She acted as if she was absent-minded and had no interest in my story. I was very disappointed with the overall experience.
