They were so nice and professional and even called me to remind me about my upcoming appointment. I was worried that I was going to be in a lot of pain during my procedure, but they gave me a local anesthetic that took the pain away. I was very comfortable the whole time. Whenever I make an appointment, I'm always confident that they're going to be ready for me at my scheduled time. At other places I've been to, it's always bothered me when they postpone my appointment, but they've never done that here.

One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time. I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. They have a huge staff that's very knowledgeable and qualified. When I arrived for my appointment the friendly staff seemed to be waiting for me. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. I was very impressed. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, and I feel a lot more confident and hopeful about the future. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all.

The people I dealt with on the telephone were deceptively cheerful considering the inexplicably icy reception we got when my wife and I arrived within two minutes of my scheduled appointment. I had called ahead and advised them that unexpected traffic had held us up slightly. I was told upon arrival that I'd be attended to in "just a minute" by someone I would describe as less then friendly but would not go so far as to call it rude.

After 30 minutes wait in an otherwise empty waiting room I'd received no revised update as to when I'd be attended to I approached the (empty) front counter and called to someone in the back. Again the dour face as she inquired what I wanted. I explained that we'd be leaving since it appeared the appointment had been broken.

At that point she appeared visibly relieved. She readily agreed with our leaving. No apology or explanation was offered for them breaking the appointment. No attempt was made to rectify the problem, no offer to reschedule another appointment. Nothing was attempted at all to recover the situation. From telephone discussions this office knew that we had driven over an hour each way to visit their facility.

When I got home I wrote a letter to Dr. Paul J. Berger using the contact form on their web site. I requested an explanation in case we had done something to merit this kind of treatment. As of this writing I've received no reply.

Except for spending the last decade working as a missionary in Fiji I've lived in Canada all my life. In both countries I've had dental care of various sorts -- but never experienced anything like this.
