Dr. Canida is the first eye doctor I have seen that had creative solutions to my aging eye situations. I had a dilemma where I was unhappy with bifocal contact lenses as they would not settle in my eye and I seemed to always be looking out the bifocal part of the lens. I had previously used the "monovision" method of contacts, i.e. one distance lens and one reading lens. This was a problem for me, however, when I drove as my depth perception was not accurate and I came close to hitting the car in front of me a couple of times! It was also more difficult for me to drive at night and in the rain. I also could not read music as easily as I needed to when playing my flute. Dr. Canida suggested I go back to the monovision method and he wrote me two extra prescriptions; one for distance, correcting the reading eye for driving and another for reading, correcting the distance eye to see close up. These I filled at an online discount glasses company and it has made a world of difference when I drive and read music. Dr. Canida also found a problem with my son's previous prescription and also diagnosed an issue with his inner eye to watch that noone else has ever mentioned. I recommend him highly.
