Nancy helped our daughter, and our family, at a critical time. Beyond the practical help on nutrition, and the brain's responses to our daughter's workout schedule, she helped navigate a difficult college coach. I would say that Nancy King provided the main key for a successful recovery for our youth's eating disorder.

Meeting with her gave us hope as a family and helped clear the weight of the problem from our shoulders just enough that we became effective in the fight. Thanks, Nancy!

I was referred to Nancy King when I was diagnosed with pre-diabetes. I never had a weight problem before and never did mindless eating. But a change in my health and meds taken because of it affected my weight, exercise (lack of interest), and an unhealthy way of eating. Nancy is unfailingly encouraging, tactfully suggests ways I can return to my previous eating habits (aware of when I'm satiated and stop, which I used to do). I look forward to our appointments.

When I came to Nancy in 1995, I was a mess: depressed, binging and starving myself, and vehemently opposed to any kind of exercise. Nancy always treated me with respect and compassion. She integrates education about healthy food and exercise with thoughtful, caring discussion about issues that might be fueling negative feelings. Nancy is supportive, positive and extremely patient. She helped me embrace food and meaningful movement as opportunities to take care of myself, and I was able to get rid of the shame I felt about my body and weight.

I can honestly say I would not be in such a good place without her help. I am now at a healthy weight (it's just a number on the scale, not a measure of my value as a human). I have rediscovered my love of running and going to the gym is a great outlet for stress and an expression of my strength as a woman). And food is a way to fuel my body so I can live a full, healthy life. Nancy is a nurturing and gentle soul. I am so thankful to have found her.
