I've been seeing Dr. Sheila since I was a child and it is absolutely amazing to know that she has shaped me into a lot of who I am today just from her care and treatment and the knowledge she would hand down to me. I've never had any serious health issues to speak of, the only ones were self inflicted or accidents that she would heal me from. I also grew up understanding much more about health than anyone I knew. I knew that if my neck hurt, it was because my back hurt last week, and in another week if I don't get adjusted I will have headaches. She taught me that when I was 10. Most of my friends growing up would just go to their medicine cabinet or go see their MD when they hurt, and there is nothing wrong with that, except that it's just a band-aid. And I've heard of NUMEROUS misdiagnosis's! One of my friends had an automobile accident 2 years prior to taking my advise and visiting my chiropractor. Dr Sheila not only helped her more than any of the specialists she's ever seen, but recovered her x-rays and MRI's that were taken after her accident and found that she FRACTURED HER NECK in the accident and no one had noticed it... FOR TWO YEARS! Now when I go to see her, and bring my daughter, I continuously pick at her brain for exercises and stretches, healthy foods and supplements. There is nothing this woman doesn't know :)

I'd like to take an opportunity to say to everyone reading these reviews that there are some nasty ones on here and I am completely dumbfounded at what some of them say. This does not sound like my doctor, though she can get offended when people absentmindedly insult her profession. I understand, most people see chiropractors as the back crackers that relieve your pain, but they are so much more than that. They are nerves specialists. The nerves are what translates pain throughout the body and helps your body function. Yes, she can relieve your pain, and yes sometimes your pain can be more severe when you leave, which is why she gives your detailed instructions on how to care for yourself and exercises that will lessen the pain, she also encourages you to call he asap if you're experiencing any difficulties. Have you ever wondered why it hurt before you slandered the Dr's good name? Maybe you were so out of wack that her re positioning everything that was out of line caused discomfort because now you are walking differently because your legs are suddenly an even length, or what ever the reason. I just had to say that because I consider Dr. Sheila family, and I hold her and her initiative ability to see, feel, and heal in the highest respect because thanks to her me and my family have never been healthier, and she's turned our entire life styles around by informing us of what is in our food, medicine, our AIR, and how to accommodate ourselves to our day in age when it's so easy to do harm to your body and health. She even helped my daughter avoid getting braces by giving her cranial adjustments and essentially reshaping her palate in her mouth and stretching out her mouth to allow more room for her teeth to grow and form naturally! There is sooooo much more to chiropractic than people realize and maybe before they start throwing around insults about how the doctor hurt them, they should understand a little more about their own body and how it works.

Oh and PS- Dr. Decker was a chiropractor straight out of college with no hands on experience. She would often need Dr. Sheila to check her patients or to work on their neck for her because she couldn't do it. And then refused Dr. Sheila's guidance and tutelage. Eventually it ran her under, she had none of her own clients and from my understanding Dr. Sheila could not afford to keep her in her practice when she wasn't bringing in any money for Dr. Sheila to pay her with. Also Dr. Decker then stole rights to Dr. Sheila's website and redirected anyone looking for Sheila to her own website. Which just isn't right when all Dr. Sheila did was help.

Not only did they not provide me with pain relief, but I was actually in even more pain when I left than when I went in. They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. I found the office, but only because I had simple, very clear directions. I wish it had been easier to locate. The use of Partitions leaves one wondering about their medical information being kept private from those sitting in the waiting room.If Dr.Bochiccio doesnt agree with something you say, she will belittle you and you will leave feeling mortified at the least.Nothing is ever wrong with her practice and is always the blame of the patient.Susie who used to work for her did so much better.I think Dr. Decker is the way to go as far as a class act and that Dr.Bochiccio could learn a thing or two about humility from her former staff.

I visited this chiropractor several years ago and was very uncomfortable for several reasons. First, there was no room with a closed door to speak of; I was treated behind a partition, so that the whole waiting room could hear my session, and the conversation between me and Ms Bochicchio. I kept an open mind, so I attended multiple times. On my last visit, I was asking her a question about my health in relation to my impending travels, as I was planning to go to Africa for a year and I had a serious problem with my neck vertebrae, which was why I was seeing a chiropractor.

I asked her if she felt that I should visit a doctor prior to my trip to see if there was anything medically wrong with me that needed addressing, as I wouldn't have chiropractic access where I was going. She became immediately defensive and told me " I AM a doctor". I apologized and said I did not mean to offend. I was doubly embarrassed by the fact that the whole waiting room, which was full, could hear this exchange. She then proceeded to point out to me all the appointments I had missed, bringing my chart to my attention to show me. I apologized, told her I had cancelled them because I couldn't really afford to come as frequently as prescribed at that time, due to impending travels. I realized I had offended her by insinuating that she was something other than a 'doctor', and I apologized again, clarifying that I had meant general practitioner when I had said 'doctor'. She then pointed out that I should lose some weight and that she should be able to clearly see my collar bones when lying down, and that she couldn't see them, and that this is probably my problem, what is causing my neck pain. Again, all of this in front of an entire waiting room of people. I was mortified!

I know that I could lose some weight, like most of us, (but I am by no means obese) but I also know that this is not what caused my neck problem. I see a great chiropractor now and he did xrays, which he also showed to me, which indicate that my neck vertebrae has no lumbar-like curve, which causes the intermittent pain.

Though her actual chiropractic work was proficient, her bedside manner was terrible and borderline traumatic. I could truly tell that she was horribly offended that I would insinuate that she was anything other than a doctor and was actually retaliating. Who knows, maybe she had a bad day, but I never went back.

I would never recommend going here, and I think it's crazy to provide medical care to people without the privacy of an actual room. Not to mention, against the hippocratic oath, 'do no harm' ; I feel that she allowed her own insecurities and personal issues get in the way of caring for me objectively, which was her job.
