In 2 years of appointments at this office I have never seen the doctor, literally, not once. I have no idea who she is or what she even looks like. After my job was eliminated at my place of employment and I lost my insurance, she refused to give me more than a 30 day supply of my thyroid medication. She said if I wanted more that I would have to come into the office even though she knew I could no longer afford the cost of her office visit.

This doctor is all about the money, how many patients she can push through, even if she never sees them and when you lose your job/insurance as I did, this doctor feels zero compassion or responsibility for you. Her staff actually told me over the phone that she said that if I could no longer afford an office visit I was no longer her patient or her responsibility. They promptly directed me to the clinic for "people like me" in town.

Did I mention all I was seeking was a refill of my generic thyroid medication for a few months, until I could get back on my feet??? My blood work was recent and there were no changes in my levels.

today, a year later, I called to see if I can get a copy of my medical records. They charge $50 to send me my records! This is the first time a doctors office has charged me anything. I also would not mind paying a reasonable fee, but this fee is not remotely reasonable. Another note, all their notes, prescriptions and everything is electronic and typed by the RN who regularly saw me. My file is no more than 25-30 sheets of paper that can be printed from a computer in under 2 minutes, but I am instead supposed to pay an member of the office staff for at least 4 hours of their time!

I really liked the RN I saw, he was great, nice and even prescribed all my medications. But again all I get from this is Doctor Carol Fischer's bottom line is money, not patient care, quality and not health. If I could do it again I would choose some other doctor, any other doctor!
