I was quite surprised (and a bit worried) to find out Dr. Bronson is on medical leave and has been since before Thanksgiving. He has not shared with his staff the reason for his medical leave, which I agree with, since it then removes them from the potential of having to answer patients questions if they ask why he's out. I am very worried, as Dr. Bronson is one of the best melanoma screeners in the Chicago areas... that's why so many dermatologists send their pathology slides to him - he knows his stuff like no one else. I had to see one of the docs filling in for him (not his partner, who must be totally overwhelmed) and she was fine. I only had a minor skin eruption that I needed looking at since my own internist was out of the office this week. I can only hope that he returns to the office by May when I am due to see him again for my semi-annual mole check.
