I visited the office on 3/9/16. I was late for the appointment because of a traffic accident on the interstate. However, the secretary was nice enough to let me keep my appointment. When I arrived the front office staff was very cold. My visit with Dr. Rahman was okay. He appeared thorough. Test were ordered. Upon leaving the secretary made 3 appoinments for me: an MRI, EMG, and the appointment to receive my test results. I called today, 3/15/16 to verify my appointment time and to see if I needed to prepare for the appointment. My call was initially transferred to the Portsmouth location. The secretary was abrupt and stated that she could not find me in the system. She placed me on hold twice. I asked her for the # to the Chesapeake office. She stated that she had all the information on her computer and sarcasm replied that she believed me it wasn't as though I randomly called called off the street. I then called to the Chesapeake office. The first rude secretary to assist me could not find the appointment either. She transferred me to Tinia Gregory, who was unable to find the appointment. Tinia Gregory told me I needed to call my primary care doctor. I told her that her office scheduled me for the EMG so why would I need to call my primary care doctor. I told her that I understand that a mistake has been made. It's human error. However, I don't feel good and I just need for them to correct the error. Make my appointment. Tinia Gregory became LOUD AND RUDE...She stated you need to listen...I hung up the phone and called again. This time Gena answered. She apologized for the confusion and stated that there were two people with my last name and she would make the correction. She was able to find my appointment. I CALLED BACK 30 MINUTES LATER AND CANCELLED ALL OF MY APPOINTMENTS WITH THIS OFFICE. I REFUSE TO PAY FOR RUDENESS. IN MY OPINION THESE TWO OFFICES ARE UNPROFESSIONAL. I WOULD SUGGEST THAT YOU FIND ANOTHER PRACTICE.
