I also had to wait 30 minutes in the waiting room an then another 45 in the exam room. He was rude, just kept repeating himself and kept telling me that their is no prescription ointment that you can use to calm down a rash from an allergic reaction/hives (my father in law got prescribed one by his derm and in looking online there are PLENTY!!) I spent most of the time in the examining room hearing him have a half hour long casual conversation in the hallway when he should have already been in with me. I can't believe I wasted 3 hours of my time (between driving, waiting, and finally being seen). He basically told me things that I already know and honestly, if I could do a skin biopsy myself them I would do it...don't bother going here- such a waste of time...

I am a younger adult, and since my teens have always had weird skin rashes, and many other odd skin reactions/conditions. He answered all my questions, but they were very short answers. He was polite, but I still felt like i was being rushed out.... probably because he was running late since i had to wait 45 min in the waiting room, and then another 15 in the patients room!

This was probably the longest wait in both the waiting room and the doctor's office I have ever experienced. I arrived exactly on time, but had to wait a full hour to finally see the doctor. When he came in he read my paperwork back to me as if I was a child. Then he completely dismissed my main concern (to remove a mole on my back) and launched into lecturing me about the use of sunscreen and self exams and then handed me a bunch of pamphlets and dismissed me. I did not get any of my questions addressed, and he snubbed me anytime I tried to reask them. This docotr was a complete jerk

The Dr was TOTALLY unprofessional! I had a long wait in the waiting room and then another long wait in the officce. then when he entered the room he was just plain rude. Raising his voice to me right away. He told me my hair wasnt falling out, it was all in my mind and I was at the wrong "type" of a dr. Guess he thought i should see a shrink. He also said fibroymalgia was something made up in the minds of women who cannot deal with stress. If my hair WAS falling out it stopped and will grow back so get over it and move on! His advise wat to collect my hair from drains and brushes for a week and then count them up IF there was 1400 or more then I should return to him, Unless my hair looked like HIS I didnt have a problem. OMG i WOULDNT TAKE MY PET TO HIM.

I just want to say that I paid $40 copay to be seen by Dr. Edward Benjamin, Dermatologist located at 1080 Day Hill Road, Windsor, CT 06095. I am entirely disappointed and frustrated about the poor condition in which I was treated as a new patient. First of all, my appointment was at 11am and I arrived promptly at 10:45am, taking time off work to be there. I was not seen by Dr. Benjamin until 11:45am. At which point the doctor decided to rush in asked my why I was wearing a sports bra (none of his concern), tell me that my acne condition is not bad and proceeded to prescribe me a cream. At this point I asked if there was something else I could treat with because the acne is also on my back which I cannot reach myself. Dr. Benjamin told me to have my partner put it on me, I said I lived alone, he responded with "then no one will ever see your back and your fine," I answered by saying that i couldn't even wear a tank top for fear of having people see the acne, so he said to have my parents put the cream on for me when I visit them, i said no and he said "then you can buy a back scratcher and use the plastic side to apply the cream or "put some cream on the wall and rub against it." He then told me "good bye see you in a month". I said that I also needed help with my toe nail and he said I would need to make a separate appointment for that. Literally saw me for less than 5 minutes then told me to leave.
That was a waste of time and money. I want my $40 back and hope that your don't refer any other Aetna member to this doctor.
