Dr. Hastings spends a LOT of time with each and every patient. He makes you feel welcome and listens to everything you have to say and ask. I like him as a doctor alot but am wanting to leave his practice because of the wait times. It doesn't seem to matter what time of the day you get an appointment, you will generally wait 45minutes to and hour to be seen by him. I have waited as long as 1 hour and 45 minutes. It is rude, unprofessional, and disrespectful to his patients! And it happens every time, not just occassionally.

I stopped using this doctor for several reasons. He wouldn't accept my husband as a patient because my husband is old enough to be eligible for medicare even though he's covered under BC/BC through his employer. When I asked if he would get rid of me as a patient when I turned 65 he said it was a possibility because of the expense. At each visit he complained about not making enough money. He refused to listen to my descriptions of symptoms and told me nothing was wrong with my gall bladder and refused to even do diagnostic tests (I then switched doctors and found one who did listen, was current on her medicine and did the right diagnostic tests to identify and correct the problem-it was biliary dyskinesia which apparently Dr. Hastings doesn't know about). Pap tests were painful and he fussed at me when I complained. He also sent me twice to have repeat exams of mammograns when he thought he had found a lump - the lump didn't exist and the techs who did the screens just shook their head at his insistance on further imaging. To be fair, he did better at adjusting the dose of one prescription than my previous doctor had done and he was willing to prescribe treatment for a nail fungus which a previous doctor had refused to do. I found another doctor though because the gall bladder symptoms were getting frequent and painful and he refused to believe they were real or to even do diagnostic procedures to find out if anything was wrong.
