Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground turkey

  • 16 ounces medium salsa

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 12 whole wheat slider buns

  • 1/3 pound sliced 2% milk cheddar cheese

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

  • Set the stove to medium heat and cook the ground turkey on a nonstick skillet. Cook the turkey for about 6 minutes or until it is no longer pink, breaking up the lumps during cooking. Stir in the medium salsa and chili powder. Cook for another 6 minutes, stirring until thickened.

  • Place the bottoms of the buns onto a baking sheet and top with the turkey mixture, cheddar cheese, and tops of the buns. Bake the sliders in the oven until the cheese melts (about 3 minutes).
