Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons wasabi powder, divided

  • 1 teaspoon water

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

  • 2 fresh sushi-grade tuna steaks

Directions

  • Mix one teaspoon of wasabi powder with one teaspoon of water in a bowl to make a paste. Let sit for 10 minutes then add the rice vinegar, mayonnaise, and crushed garlic. Thoroughly mix and set aside.

  • Heat grill to medium heat. Cook the tuna for 3-4 minutes on each side, or longer if desired.

  • In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, vegetable oil, and the remaining wasabi powder. Brush this onto the tuna as it cooks.

  • Thinly slice the tuna and serve with the wasabi sauce.
