Ingredients

  • 5 tablespoons tomato paste

  • 1 teaspoon ketchup

  • 2 teaspoons honey

  • 1 teaspoon molasses

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 teaspoons white vinegar

  • 3/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger, grated

  • 1 1/2 pounds chicken breasts (or drumsticks), skinless

Directions

  • In a saucepan, mix together all of the ingredients except the chicken and simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Rinse and pat dry the chicken, brush with half the sauce mixture.

  • Cover and marinate the chicken for 1 hour in a refrigerator.

  • In a baking pan, place the marinated chicken and broil each side for 10 minutes to seal in juices.

  • Remove from broiler.

  • Brush both sides of the chicken with the remaining sauce and cover loosely with aluminum foil.

  • Bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes.
