Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour

  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • In a bowl, combine all ingredients until thoroughly blended.

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Place a colander with sizeable holes on top of the pot. Scoop several tablespoons of the flour mixture at a time and drop into colander. Firmly push the mixture through the colander's holes.

  • Boil the spaetzle until soft, approximately 6-8 minutes. Stir frequently to avoid sticking. Drain thoroughly.
