Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound (about 18) fresh figs, quartered

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup sugar

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

  • 2 cups skim milk

  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest

  • 3/4 cup egg substitute

Directions

  • Preheat an oven to 375 degrees F.

  • Spray the inside of a 10-inch, deep dish pie plate with cooking spray and place the washed figs without the stems into the plate.

  • Combine the flour, salt, cloves, and sugar in a mixing bowl.

  • Slowly pour in the milk into the mixing bowl while continuously stirring. Add in the orange zest and egg substitute and stir.

  • Pour the mixing bowl contents evenly over the figs.

  • Bake for about 1 hour until set.
