Ingredients

  • 4 ripe pears, cored and thinly sliced

  • 1 tablespoon firmly packed brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon sliced almonds

  • 1/2 cup low fat vanilla-flavored yogurt

Directions

  • Heat a broiler and put a broiler rack about 3-5 inches away from the heat source.

  • Place the pears in a flameproof dish and sprinkle with brown sugar. Broil for about 5 minutes, or until the brown sugar is caramelized and the pears are slightly brown.

  • Sprinkle the almonds on top and broil for another minute or until the almonds turn golden brown.

  • Place each pear in a serving dish and top with vanilla yogurt.
