2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups milk
1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract or almond extract
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 pinch salt
1 large egg
Topping
1/2 cup brown sugar
1-2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F.
Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish or two 8 or 9 inch round cake pans.
Add the flour, sugar, milk, extract, baking powder, salt, and egg to a bowl and mix.
Transfer the mixture to the baking pan.
Top the batter with the brown sugar, cinnamon, nuts, and melted butter.
Bake for 20-30 minutes.
