Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour

  • 1 tablespoon canola oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 cup hot water

Directions

  • In a medium sized bowl, mix the flour and salt and then pour the oil and hot water on top.

  • Mix well until it forms a dough.

  • Cover the dough with a damp towel and let it sit for 30 minutes.

  • Sprinkle some flour on a counter and knead the dough for 2 minutes.

  • Divide the dough into six parts and roll the dough into 6 inch circles.

  • Heat additional canola oil in a skillet and fry 1 circle at a time on both sides until each side is puffed and golden. Serve hot.
