Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon margarine

  • 2 slices whole wheat bread

  • 2 tablespoons hummus

  • 1/4 cup basil, chopped

  • 1 large slice tomato

  • 1 slice Provolone cheese

Directions

  • Spread the margarine onto one side of each slice of bread and place one slice dry side up on a non-stick pan.

  • Spread hummus over the bread, then place the sliced tomato, basil, and Provolone cheese on top.

  • Place the second slice of bread, dry side down, on the sandwich and grill on the medium heat setting.

  • Flip the sandwich after a couple minutes, or when the bread turns brown, and continue grilling until the other side is finished.
