Ingredients

  • 4 beefsteak tomatoes

  • 1 pound fresh mozzarella cheese, thickly sliced

  • 1 bunch basil leaves

  • 1/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/4 cracked black pepper

Directions

  • Wash and slice the tomatoes thickly, about 1/2 inch in thickness, and arrange the slices in a concentric circle on a plate.

  • Tuck a slice of mozzarella and a clean basil leaf in between each tomato slice.

  • Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the top and sprinkle the sea salt and cracked black pepper to taste.
