Ingredients

  • 3 pounds English peas, shelled (about 3 cups) or 1 pound frozen shelled peas, thawed

  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons fresh mint, chopped

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  • Boil 1 inch of water in a large pot fitted with a steamer basket. Add the peas to the basket, cover, and steam 4 minutes until tender, tossing once.
