Dr. Davidson has been a great help to me. He immediately spotted a flaw in my prescription regimen and diagnosed a long standing problem. I continue to see him.

I feel Dr. Ronald Davidson took advantage of me, and my financial situation.

I have been diagnosed with Depression/ADHD/Mood Disorder (due to PMDD) since I was in elementary school- I am now 26/yo and have been seeing a psychiatrist/psychologist my entire life.

I moved to L.A. 3 years ago, and haven't seen a psychiatrist since my move.

Needless to say, my struggle with the above mentioned problems has continued untreated- but had been masked by a wonderful, very wealthy boyfriend , who has in a sense, been my drug, and has supported me financially and emotionally for over 2.5 years.

It had come to a point that my ADHD/Depression was really getting the best of me finding a job, in my relationships, and just functioning normally, so I sought the help of Dr. Davidson to continue the medications I had been taking my entire life.

I do not have insurance and explained to Dr. Davidson that my boyfriend would be paying the $200/per visit (cash) out of pocket. Dr. Davidson seemed to be mildly amused by the fact that I pretty much had an open wallet to psychiatric visits.

Long story short, Dr. Davidson kept having me schedule what is in my opinion, an excess number of appointment, with no medication prescribed for my moderate depression/ADD--- after I explained to him that I have suicidal thoughts, and can't focus long enough to look for a job, get out of bed, walk my dog, or do anything consistently.

"These things take time"-- after every visit, Dr. Davidson would say, "the next visit I could possibly have a prescription" I should have known what "possibly" meant... Very odd.

At the end of every visit, he would make up some CRAZY excuse as to why he can't prescribe anything yet-- one visit he said I should get an EKG and schedule another visit, the next visit, he said I should get blood work, and schedule another visit!!!!

When I told him I already had blood work done recently.... he waited about 2 minutes, while writing something down, and asked if the blood work included a thyroid check-- I was so suspicious by this point, that I said 'yes'-- he then changed the subject. That was my last visit.

For someone like myself with a record of mental health issues- I know the procedure, I have been seeing psychiatrist my whole life and THIS WAS NOT NORMAL. I find it dishonest and negligent for Dr. Davidson to not give me a refill for my medications.

After washing A LOT of money, I ended up finding a new psychiatrist, where it only took two visits for him to prescribe the medications I was taking before- and I feel happy and healthy now. :)
