My experience with him has not been a good one. He is a bit of an odd duck, but we all have are things. I figure I was going to see a psychiatrist, so I really didn't think I had any place to judge on that and I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket at the time so I would just go with it. He is more often then not very dry, and flat in conversation. Where he was coming from was always very hard to understand, usually leaving me more questions than answers over the years. He was either failing at attempts to be funny, or he was being condescending or pretending not to understand basic things I said, which I knew he understood. It was hard to tell if this was some sort of evaluation technique, or if he was just really that bad? My last visit he became very confrontational. I presented him with a paper with a suggestion from my counselor and he put her down saying basically she didn't have authority and didn't know what she was talking about.. He said I had MADE her write this letter to get him to give me certain medications. I was a bit baffled at his direct attacks if you will. Along the way during this session he would ask why I was so upset and interrupting him? I would say because you are not understanding or hearing me it seems. He sort of plays mind games for lack of a better term. Maybe he is in need of some professional help, dunno? His evaluation as to why a medicine type I asked about and was suggested to look into by my counselor was not right for me, and the reasons made sense. I then asked if maybe there was something similar but right for me? Still heated in behavior he called me a liar over something else I was sure I did not lie about, and when I said that he had a mean look and said I did. He told me something about me having psychosis which was not anything I have struggled with, or been diagnosed with. I work with people who have psychosis so I have a strong understanding of what it is and is not. I was so taken back by his direct attack style on this day and the way and things he was saying. He had such poor conflict resolving skills for being a doctor. He told me many things that were not helpful and were hurtful and did not seem therapeutic. I asked if he would just refill my meds and I would be on my way, as clearly this was not going well. He argued that it was not going that bad, but I disagreed. I was crying after he told me a coping skill I had used during a time I was abused when young was so wrong and bad. He put me down for having had to use it. I said I was 5 years old or so and really don't know what else I could have done? At this point I am wondering if I have entered the twilight zone, as this is so extremely bazar? Why is he acting like this? Did he not hear me say okay then I see what else do you suggest? Talk about a power trip or a bad trip he was on.. I at this point I said, okay this is ridiculous and I am leaving. I got up to go and he ordered me to come back and sit down. I said I am a grown woman and will not come back and sit down... I am done here.. My advice is if you have anyone else to see, then please do it!

They could work on improving their level of customer service here; their wait times varied from 15 mins to 1 hour after my scheduled appointments.

Definitely! They did a thorough investigation to make sure I'd get the best treatment
