I saw Dr. Posner for 30 yrs. He got me through some really hard times and even though it always meant a long trip and even longer wait to see him I always thought it was worth while. I am now in the process of looking for a new rhumo, not because he isn't the most wonderful dr. but because his staff is the worst I have ever come across. The front desk and managerial staff are rude and nasty, degrading and I am done w them. I can't take it any longer. I will miss him.

I will not be seeing Dr. Posner any longer.

1) The person in the front office, whom I understand is his wife, is rude and unbending. They have rules which will NOT be bent or broken.

2) Heaven forbid you need to change an appointment. First, you can’t just call and do so. You must call, leave your name and number and then hang around, hoping someone will call you back that same day.

3) And if you miss an appointment, you will not be able to refill prescriptions. They only give out written prescriptions at your office visit, no renewing by calling your pharmacy for a refill. And when you have to change an appointment, you go to the end of the line, several months out. Which means, no scripts until you finally go for your appointment.

4) This was the final straw. I had an appointment on Monday, which was on my calendar and which I had every intention of keeping. The Friday before, I was out and about. When I got home at around 6:30, I had three messages on my answering machine. The first two were reminding me about my appointment and saying I must call them back to confirm I would be keeping that appointment. The third said they were closed until Monday, and since I hadn’t called back to confirm my appointment, they were cancelling my Monday appointment, and I would have to call and reschedule, obviously months out. I will not be doing so. Luckily my RA is in remission, and I have the luxury of time to find another doctor.
