They didn't display their qualifications. It made me nervous. I would never recommend them to anyone. If I had known how terrible it was going to go, I never would have gone in the first place. Without a doubt, they were the worst psychiatrist I've ever seen. I had been in the hospital (not a mental or psych hospital) and was put on a medication that is very dangerous to go without. It was a medication that's dangerous to just stop. I had an appointment with Dr Deal and he knew I needed this medication. His office called and cancelled my first appointment and they did NOT care I would not have any medication, that was my first appointment. I became very sick and had to wait for my first actual visit with Dr Deal. Around 4 pm the day before my first appointment while I was not home his office calls my house to confirm my appointment I got home that evening around 6 pm and I heard the voicemail I called his office and they were gone for the day. The following morning I called to confirm my appointment for that day. I was told they cancelled my appointment and gave it to somebody else because I did not confirm. I nicely explained I wasn't home when they called they did NOT care. I told them about my medication problem and I was very sick because his office cancelled my first visit. They gave Dr Deal my message and he said I had to reschedule. I went that day anyway. By the grace of God the other person was a no show so he decided to see me, only because he's a greedy old man NOT because he cares about his patients. While in his office he screamed and yelled at me and put me down. After only speaking to me for 5 minutes he says I'm bipolar. I'm 40 years old Ive never been told I was bipolar. He demanded I get on a very dangerous bipolar medication and if I didn't agree he would NOT fill my script. So I went on this medication and I was having horrible side effects one of which caused me to fall asleep behind the wheel of a car. Thank God I did not crash. I got home and looked up symptoms of medication on 5 medical websites every site listed all my side effects including severe drowsiness. I immediately stopped this medication and when I saw Dr Deal I told him about it. He called me a liar and said those side effects don't exist and said I had narcolepsy and guess what he demanded I get tested for it AND that I take another med for bipolar. He said a liar like me must be on bipolar meds. I was furious but he knew u was dependent in him to fill the one medication I needed. For the next 2 months I tried this medication then another medication (he was having my blood drawn to check the levels so I could not lie and say I tried them. Again horrible side effects, but also depression and mood swings followed that he said were not normal side effects that were. I ended up having a family member go to my next appointment with me. She works in a Drs office and I wanted her to hear how Dr Deal puts me down and yelled at me!! This person went and she told me I must find another Dr. That Dr Deal was verbally abusive and medically neglecting me. She said he's the one that needs medical help. My next appointment that was scheduled I couldn't make due to a family emergency that I could NOT prevent. I had proof of the incident and I when I called Dr Deals office to I explain why I wasn't there and proof of my appointment the receptionist said she would give Dr Deal the message. Later that day she called me back and said dr Deal REFUSED TO SEE ME! This Dr dropped me as a patient and his excuse was I had to chose between the emergencies of life and his appointments and I chose the emergency of life!! TRUST ME WHEN I SAY I DID NOT CHOSE THIS EMERGENCY!! Once again I was sick from not getting my medication. I ended up finding a good Dr who in NO way believes I had bipolar!!
In all Everything I told him he twisted it and distorted it into his own horribly mean opinion. I didn't feel like he cared about what I had to say at all. This Dr Deal is a crazy very old man!! I'm not sure how is even a Dr. I have spent 20 years working in the pediatric medical field!! I have NEVER seen a Dr treat his patients even close to half this bad!!! SOMEBODY NEEDS TO STOP THIS MAN FROM PRACTICING MEDICINE!!!
