I had been in severe pain for months-had been to an orthopedist who referred me to another orthopedist for my hip. That man just s-rayed me, ready to replace both hips. I had no pain in my left hip. Dr. Whalen took the time to talk with me, review my back films. He thought he saw a shadow on my right hip. He ordered an MRI, and it turned out that I had a fracture. He gave me adequate pain medication and referred me to a good orthopedic hip surgeon. I now have a replacement and am doing extremely well. His office is pleasant, organized, and down to earth.

Very nice doctor. I have Fibromyalgia and he was as helpful as he good be. I actually saw him 2002 or so and they did not have all the medication options they do today. I found the staff to be nice and efficient. You would have to wait a bit but he spent an appropriate amount of time with you. He seemed hurried but still I felt he listened and worked with me.
