Dr. Rosenbloom has an interest in psycho pharmacology for adolescents, adults, seniors and women with PMS, menopausal,pregnancy and postpartum related emotional symptoms. Dr Rosenbloom will assess whether medication may be helpful and safe for you, prescribe and monitor its effects and taper off medication that has been ineffective or poorly tolerated. If you need medication on a long-term basis, Dr Rosenbloom will follow you for the duration and at each visit monitor your target psychiatric symptoms and stress. Dr Rosenbloom will recommend modifications in lifestyle and if needed medication over time.
Dr Rosenbloom is in private practice in the East Bay RI and has a 15 minute phone time once you decide to have a psychiatric assessment to gather basic information regarding the need for evaluation, and gather other pertinent information to open your chart. Dr Rosenbloom will clarify concerns you may have about her psychiatry practice. Dr Rosenbloom will spend a solid 60 minutes with you at her Barrington RI office to discuss:
• Your current and past psychiatric and substance related symptoms
• Current stressors and level of functioning in all realms
• All medications you are currently taking
• Any medical problems you are experiencing
• Family history of psychiatric or substance abuse
• Your own alcohol and other drug use
• Any previous medications you have taken for emotional/psychiatric problems and your response
Dr Rosenbloom may recommend lab work for your emotional symptoms. Dr Rosenbloom does not perform one time consultations. With a signed a Release of Information, Dr Rosenbloom will send a brief note to the clinician who referred you.
Dr Rosenbloom will discuss the effectiveness of your medication, possible side effects and any concerns. Dr Rosenbloom can adjust or change your treatment based on your response.
