She is passionate about amblyopia, myopia control, as well as specialty contact lens fitting. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and a part of the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group. In her free time, Dr. Deng enjoys baking, playing tennis, and trying new foods.

Emily Deng, OD, earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama in Birmingham School of Optometry. She then completed a residency in pediatric ocular disease at Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio, providing extensive care to children of all ages and abilities.Dr. Deng strives to create a thoughtful and supportive environment for children and their families, working together to provide a personalized care plan. She is passionate about amblyopia, myopia control, as well as specialty contact lens fitting.
