Alexis was born and raised in Hickory, North Carolina. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Gardner -Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC. Alexis later traveled south to attend the University of South Alabama, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.Her previous experience as a Neonatal nurse inspired Alexis to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner so that she could support families not only in the newborn period but for the duration of their child's life.
