Dr Lena is a board-certified general pediatrician. Her clinical interests include asthma, ADHD, prematurity, special needs children and physical intellectual disability. Her research interests include autism, allergy and new developments in gastrointestinal disorders. Dr Lena earned her medical degree from the University of Jaffna Faculty of Medicine in Sri Lanka and completed a residency at Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children. She completed residencies at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and University Hospital, Newark. Dr Lena is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. In her free time, Dr Lena enjoys ballroom dancing, listening to music, playing jazz piano, riding horses and world travel.
