Michael Marvin, MD, FACS, is a transplant and hepatobiliary surgeon specializing in liver and kidney transplantation as well as the removal of kidneys from living donors. He performs a variety of minimally invasive and open surgical procedures for conditions affecting the liver including managing liver tumors and the repair of bile duct injuries. Dr Marvin currently leads the liver and kidney transplant program at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, where he oversees his patients' care before and after surgery. Under his leadership, the transplant program has grown rapidly, and has expanded the number of insurance companies that recognize Geisinger as a Transplant Center of Excellence (e.g. Aetna and Optum).
