Dr. Caroline Franke is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her areas of clinical expertise include inpatient psychiatry, and emergency psychiatry, severe and persistent mental illness, and crisis stabilization. Dr. Franke serves as the Assistant Director of Psychiatric Emergency Services at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Dr. Franke earned her M.D. from Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2024. She served as Chief Resident in both her third and fourth years of residency.
Dr. Franke’s academic interests include patient safety, systems innovation, and improving patient experience in behavioral health inpatient and emergency settings.
