Dr. Stephen Grill is currently an Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in Baltimore and Chair of the Medical Advisory Board of the Parkinson Foundation of the National Capital Area (PFNCA). Dr. Grill received a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and an M.D. from Northwestern University. He then completed a neurology residency at Washington University and a fellowship in movement disorders at the National Institutes of Health. He was the founder of Parkinson’s & Movement Disorders Center of Maryland which is now Neurology Consultants – Parkinson’s & Movement Disorders Center of Maryland, a member of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians. His research interests include how sensory information is used in the control of movement and how improper use of sensory information may lead to motor impairment. He treats persons with advanced Parkinson’s disease employing advanced technologies, such as Deep Brain Stimulation.
