Dr. Raghav Ram Mattay is passionate about helping patients overcome complex neurological and vascular challenges. Specializing in neuroendovascular surgery and head-to-toe vascular anomalies, he combines cutting-edge techniques with a caring approach to provide the best possible outcomes. Dr. Mattay sees patients at Northwell Health Physician Partners Neurosurgery at Lenox Hill and Northwell Health Physician Partners Neurosciences at Phelps, where he's known for delivering personalized, compassionate care. Dr. Mattay earned his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he completed the Clinical Neuroscientist Training Program and graduated at the top of his class culminating with his induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor society. He subsequently completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to complete advanced fellowship training in Imaging Informatics as well as two years of Diagnostic Neuroradiology at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania, where he served as Chief Fellow in his final year. He then pursued a two-year Neuroendovascular Surgery fellowship at the University of California San Francisco. Patients appreciate Dr. Mattay for his attention to detail and his ability to explain complex conditions in a way that's easy to understand. He's highly skilled in treating brain aneurysms, cerebrovascular venous disease, and other serious conditions of the brain, spine, head and neck as well as vascular malformations presenting anywhere in the body.
