She earned her medical degree from Lincoln Memorial University – DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, Tennessee. She completed her internal medicine residency at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, and her cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology fellowship at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, Lexington.
