After receiving her B.S. in Physics from Harvey Mudd College (Claremont, CA), she served in the Air Force as a Scientific Analyst at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base National Air Intelligence Center. In 1997, she attended medical school at University of Vermont (Burlington, VT) where she fell in love with the neurosciences.
