I entered the field of psychiatry to make a positive difference in people's lives. My goal is to relieve my patients' symptoms and to help them improve their emotional health and quality of life. I take time to listen to my patients so that I can provide care tailored to their unique situation. I treat every patient with compassion, dignity, and respect. I provide care with sensitivity to their personal preferences, beliefs, and diversity. I make sure my patients feel heard, supported, and validated. I value integrity and conduct myself in a trustworthy manner. I uphold the highest of standards of professionalism and ethics. I strive for excellence in the care of my patients. I educate, support, and encourage them to actively participate in their treatment. It is gratifying when I change a patient's life for the better by supporting them in feeling stable and looking forward to the future. Helping patients find hope where there may have been none so they can live the life they desire is incredibly rewarding.
