For Kathleen LaFevers, healthcare is personal. Her grandmother's time as a patient in an intensive care unit (ICU) inspired her to work in ICUs and operating rooms for a decade, and now she's bringing that expertise to Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Internal Medicine in Demorest to care for adults not just in emergencies, but in their everyday lives. Kathleen earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Georgia Southern University and completed her family nurse practitioner training earlier this year. During her clinical rotations, she trained in several NGPG practices, including the practice she's now joining.
