She was born and raised in New Mexico. After earning her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of New Mexico, she completed her residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of New Mexico Hospital in Albuquerque. Finally, she received additional training in thyroid, parathyroid and oncologic surgery.
Driven by a desire to practice in the Mountain West and at a smaller, community-oriented clinic, Dr Dorneden relocated to Colorado.
