Jema Day, AGACNP-BC, CWON-AP, is a highly qualified and experienced nurse practitioner specializing in care of acute and chronic wounds, negative pressure wound therapy, compression wraps and edema management, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and basic ostomy care and education. Prior to becoming a provider with Athens Family Practice and the Advanced Wound Care Center at Starr Regional Medical Center - Etowah, Jema worked with Piedmont Healthcare for more than 20 years as a critical care nurse (18 years) and a wound care nurse practitioner (6+ years). She has also worked with Air Life Georgia as a flight nurse. Before joining Piedmont, she was an aeromedical evacuation emergency medical technician on the C-130 Hercules in the Air Force Reserves.
