Sarah G. Keene, APRN, is a nurse practitioner with Norton Neuroscience Institute. Sarah earned her master’s degree in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University School of Nursing. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.
Sarah provides care for patients with neurologic disorders that have an immune system component, such as multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, sarcoidosis and autoimmune encephalitis. She collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to tailor a treatment plan appropriate for each individual, including disease-modifying therapy and symptomatic management.
Sarah is dedicated to providing comprehensive and integrative care, and is passionate about patient education, advocating for personalized treatment plans that consider each individual’s unique circumstances and preferences. She believes in the power of an integrative health care model that addresses not only the physiological aspects of neurologic disorders, but also patients’ emotional and psychological needs. She uses evidence-based practices and motivational interviewing techniques to empower patients to actively participate in their care, enhancing engagement and improving health outcomes.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys spending quality time with her family, including a few pets, attending sporting events, camping and hiking as a family. Sarah enjoys exploring new environments, whether close to home or farther away. She has been a distance runner since college, and also enjoys cycling and swimming.
