As someone who is not White and had the misfortune of seeing Dr Davis in September 2025, the care that I received from him was compromised and suspect, as he allowed extraneous factors to influence the important relationship between patient and physician. In so doing, he shattered the trust and confidence that I have always reposed in medical professionals; before seeing him, the medical professionals with whom I interacted were professional, thoughtful, empathetic and genuinely interested in my well-being. After my disastrous visit to Dr Davis’s office and Holzer Health System, whose nursing staff and receptionists treated me poorly, I now see another physician elsewhere who embodies the values that I always thought all medical professionals possessed. His current and prospective patients, who share the same ‘race’ with him, might think that this review does not apply to them. However, injustice against one (no matter how insidious) is injustice against all good, decent and ethical people.
