Dr McCormick grew up near Windsor, Ontario with his parents, who were an engineer and a physical therapist. After looking carefully at molecular biology, Dr McCormick committed to orthopedic surgery while in medical school. His residency cemented his interest in sports medicine and shoulder and elbow surgery.
