Dr Corteen’s early interest in sports led him to pursue his specialty of sports medicine, a subspecialty of orthopedics. Although most of his patients are athletes, he also sees many people whose injuries are work-related.
“I treat knee and shoulder injuries primarily, and I have a special interest in cartilage injuries,” he said. He is one of the only orthopedic surgeons in the Marshfield Clinic Health System who performs arthroscopic surgery of the hip.
