Leila Khalili is a Nurse Practitioner at the Columbia Lupus Center. She divides her time between the care of patients living with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and clinical research. She received a BA in psychology from Barnard College and a Master of Science in Nursing from Yale School of Nursing. Leila joined the Columbia University Lupus Center in 2019, as the recipient of the Rheumatology Research Foundation Mentored Nurse Practitioner Award, which allowed her to further develop her rheumatology and research skills. She serves as the Director of Research Operations at the Lupus Center and is an Investigator on several therapeutic and observational lupus studies. Her main interests include SLE patient education, the role of telemedicine in SLE care, and therapeutic new drug development in SLE.
