Ziga Cizman
Ziga Cizman MD, MPH is an assistant professor in Interventional Radiology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI). Dr. Cizman’s specializes in minimally invasive treatment of cancers spread to the liver, lung, bones and soft tissue. His other areas of interest include treatment of Desmoids, prostate artery embolization, renal and liver transplant intervention and management of portal hypertension. Dr. Cizman is among the first in the area to perform minimally invasive treatments, through an artery in the wrist, improving patient comfort and speeding recovery. Dr. Cizman obtained his undergraduate degree from University of Pennsylvania and his medical degrees from Thomas Jefferson University. While enrolled in medical school he pursued an MPH at Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, where he developed an interest in Interventional Radiology. After graduating from medical school, Dr. Cizman completed his surgical internship at the University of East Carolina and then traveled westward to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill for radiology residency and southward to Emory for an Interventional Radiology Fellowship. Dr. Cizman is currently accepting new patients at both the University of Utah and Huntsman Cancer Center.Services
