Dr. Flis is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She completed her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science from Colorado State University and medical school at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She completed internship and residency training at the University of Utah. She joined the faculty in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in 2015 as the Inpatient PM&R Consult Director. Dr. Flis’ clinical interest include early mobility, ICU rehabilitation and neurorehabilitation. She is board certified in Brain Injury Medicine.In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Flis teaches clinical skills at the University of Utah School of Medicine as a member of the Doctoring Faculty. She is the current Inpatient Medical Director for the Craig H. Neilsen Rehabilitation Hospital at the University of Utah, the Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for Rehabilitation Medicine, the Inpatient Chief Value Officer for the Department of PM&R, and begins her term as President of the University of Utah Medical Board in November 2024.
