Dr Ivan A Arenas (he/him) is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. He earned his medical degree at the Universidad Industrial de Santander and completed his internal medicine residency in Framingham, Massachusetts. He then completed a cardiology fellowship at the Columbia University Division of Cardiology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. Dr Arenas also holds a doctoral degree in cardiovascular physiology from the University of Alberta and was a postdoctoral fellow of the Canadian Institutes of Health and Research, where he conducted studies of genetics and blood pressure regulation at the University of Montreal.
