I think the best medical care is the result of teamwork. That team should include not just the provider and the patient, but also family and friends who can provide support through any needed treatment or the encouragement to stay as healthy as possible. It should also include other members of the care team as needed to research questions, gather information or enlist the help of specialists.
Outside of work, you can often find me with my wonderful wife. Together, we have one adult daughter and one fur baby. I am originally from Virginia, but I have made North Carolina my home. I take advantage of the normally great Carolina weather by taking long exercise walks while listening to audiobooks.

Problem-solving and science have always been passions of mine. I love medicine because it allows me to apply these passions in a direct and personal way to help patients lead healthier lives. Figuring out why someone is not feeling well and making a plan to resolve that concern energizes me.
